About Us

Our Vision Is Clear.

We are Cultivating a Community That Embodies The Kingdom of God and Brings Heaven to the Earth.

How Do We Do That?

Teaching the Truth of God’s Word

We believe that the Word of God is truth. We believe that the Bible is an account of God’s plan to restore creation that finds in culmination in Jesus. We believe that the truth of all reality is understood in light of this story and through Jesus.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ

We believe that through partaking of the body and blood of Christ, or communion, one comes into literal contact with Jesus Himself. We believe that when Jesus comes into contact with anything that it has no other choice but to be restored, transformed, and brought to life.

Luke 22:19-20
And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And like wise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer and that prayer is effective in changing the course of our situations. We believe that through prayer we communicate with God and bring our lives into alignment with His will.

Matthew 6:9-13

Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Building Relationships

We believe that the only way to reflect the Image of God is by doing so as a collective community. We believe that loving God means that we must love one another and protect the integrity of relationships within the community. We believe that when we seek the well-being of each other over our own we show the greater community who God is and have the ability to impact the world by bringing God’s Kingdom to it.

Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Providing For the Needs of Each Other

We believe that we exist for the sake of each other and that the provision of our needs are found within the community. We believe that God brings us together purposefully and that all of our needs, comprehensively, are to be met by the community we plant ourselves in.

Galatians 6:2

Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Our Inspiration

Our community model resembles that which is seen in the early church in the Book of Acts. Acts 2:42-47 accounts for a community of the followers of Jesus developed by the disciples and led by the Holy Spirit. We believe that this is the same type of community that we are to pursue today and that living this way as a community embodies God’s Kingdom and brings heaven to the earth.

Acts 2:42-47

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
